Royal Astronomical Society Group Achievement Award, 2021. Royal Astronomical Society (Reino Unido). Por mostrar al mundo la primera imagen de la sombra proyectada por el agujero negro de M87.

Breakthrough Prize en Física Fundamental, 2020. Breakthrough Prize Board (Estados Unidos). Por participar en la toma de la primera imagen de un agujero negro supermasivo a través de la red de telescopios EHT.

Premio Bruno Rossi, 2020. American Astronomical Society (Estados Unidos). Otorgado al equipo del EHT por sus logros en astrofísica de alta energía.

Medalla Einstein, 2020. Sociedad Albert Einstein (Suiza). Otorgada al equipo del EHT en reconocimiento a su logro histórico de obtener la primera imagen de un agujero negro en el centro de la galaxia M87.

NSF Diamond Achievement Award, 2019. National Science Foundation (Estados Unidos). Primer reconocimiento de este tipo otorgado por la NSF, entregado a la Colaboración EHT.
